Its advanced composite structure combines a wear-resistant Silicon Carbide face with a high-strength Stainless Steel substrate, delivering exceptional wear resistance and structural integrity in demanding operating conditions.
Material and Properties
Face Material: Pressureless Sintered Silicon Carbide
- Extreme Hardness & Wear Resistance: Second only to diamond and CBN in hardness, providing excellent resistance to abrasive media and erosion.
- Excellent Chemical Inertness: Resists corrosion from strong acids, alkalis, and oxidizers, outperforming most metallic materials.
- High Thermal Conductivity: Rapidly dissipates frictional heat, preventing localized overheating and ensuring operational stability.
- Low Friction Coefficient: Performs exceptionally well against counterparts like carbon and ceramics, reducing starting and running torque.
Substrate/Backing: Stainless Steel
